Normally a 3-piece, today they brought a sax and a mandolin. Classy, classic tunes that range from sounding like Elvis Costello to Van Morrison to Thin Lizzy to John Prine. If that doesn’t sound good to you, I don’t know what to say.

Greetings Sam from the outskirts of town. It is great to hear you in this element, it is truely a good match. This could be a handfull of tracks from a Sam Ostrow record so your influence is clear. Not sure how I feel about it yet, but this is the first reaction to a first listen…
Unpolished and raw. There is a solid rhythm section which allows the rest of the band to be loose and still have it sound… well… good. There were times where it was spot on and the entire band was “in the pocket” and times where the backbone was the only thing solid (this was intentional on a couple of occasions I’m sure). That said there were moments where the incontinence was distracting. There is a quiet intelligence about the entire recording that left me confident that it would come back to where I wanted it to… if I was patient, and payed attention. I’ll listen again and see how it strikes me beyond the first impression.

Hi there!
I do believe this is my first time listening to your podcats, but I couldn’t just leave without saying something. I was at the show at The Lizard Lounge and these guys surely didn’t disappoint live. They put on an absolutely AMAZING show. I have been a fan for a while, but this was my first live show, and definitely not my last. These guys rock!! I was pretty much speechless when the show was over. Coming from me, that says kind of a lot. Thanks for doing this show!
