    When I came across this session in our “unreleased” drawer, I felt like we had done a disservice to the world for making you wait so long. Carter is the lead dude in Tulsa, and his songs are just as hauntingly beautiful solo as with the full band. Just look at Stella. She’s approves wholeheartedly.

      it’s hard to pick a favorite flophouse session, but fuck it- i’m gonna do it- and say this is the one- sometimes carter goes off on adventures and we don’t see him for a while- and we need to get our fix- you can visit his magic right here! thanks so much- i can listen to this over and over -
