So, If you haven’t seen these guys live you are missing out. Matt, the drummer is one of the coolest people on the planet. This band is so down to earth. They are not stuck up. They are really good people. The whole band gives off a good vibe. The are excellent in concert and on CD. But in all honesty, the shows they play will send you into a musical “nirvana” or “orgasm” …. so check them out live….

super great, shows that a loud psychotic pschedelic act from California can come across sensitively and with energy fervor . I remember Guns and Roses acoustic record as a very powerful outlet that solidified their place in the halls of rock and roll justice. Thunders would approve. I wish Queens of The Stone Age would do something like this. Nirvana at MTV unplugged is unquestionably one of the best performance in the last 20 years. Rock on!!!!!

I do believe this is my first time listening to your podcats, but I couldn’t just leave without saying something. I was at the show at The Lizard Lounge and these guys surely didn’t disappoint live. They put on an absolutely AMAZING show. I have been a fan for a while, but this was my first live show, and definitely not my last. These guys rock!! I was pretty much speechless when the show was over. Coming from me, that says kind of a lot. Thanks for doing this show!

Greetings Sam from the outskirts of town. It is great to hear you in this element, it is truely a good match. This could be a handfull of tracks from a Sam Ostrow record so your influence is clear. Not sure how I feel about it yet, but this is the first reaction to a first listen…

Unpolished and raw. There is a solid rhythm section which allows the rest of the band to be loose and still have it sound… well… good. There were times where it was spot on and the entire band was “in the pocket” and times where the backbone was the only thing solid (this was intentional on a couple of occasions I’m sure). That said there were moments where the incontinence was distracting. There is a quiet intelligence about the entire recording that left me confident that it would come back to where I wanted it to… if I was patient, and payed attention. I’ll listen again and see how it strikes me beyond the first impression.

Glad you are well Sam. Looking forward to great things from the Shoutabouts.

Of further note: Spinal Tap’s too-small Stonehenhe is based off of the Black Sabbath version of Stonehenge, which was too large to fit in many of the arenas the band played in.

Like in this case, there was a pretty good chance I was watching ‘My Name is Earl’ and drinking box wine. Also, a tip of the hat to Lou Barlow for the lyrical theme. A mighty good version of this song so far was the two-guitars-and-organ rendition recorded at the Band in Boston podcast. It’s a hazy glimpse into a world where there aren’t any rhythm sections. I heard The Silver Lining at Toad last night… Great sound and energy. Anna expresses a tremendous amount of emotion through her voice. This is a tight band worth checking out. And a big shout out for those fucking great blues tunes. Thanks for sharing your talents!

DUDE! I thought this was going to be TESLA! I saw them this summer on “the Electric Summer Jam Tour” and they RULED. I almost made out with a chick, but I barfed on her in the parking lot.

I am having trouble with the new “BIB” podcast. The mp3 seems corrupted. It causes the sound to quit at 1:25 until I pause and play the file. It also crashes iTunes on my mac when I try to convert it to an AAC

hey, I recently saw Township open for the Fiery Furnaces at the Middle East, and it was one of the best performances I’ve ever seen. I was especially impressed by the epic first song they played, but it was not on their CD. I was wondering if you guys had audio of it, and if so, if you could play it on your show. Thatd be sweet.
